How good are your products?

Excellent, actually...

Most motherboards are made in Taiwan, regardless of whose logo is stamped on. Most U.S. "brand-name" manufacturers just provide a design spec and let the Taiwanese implement those features.

These same Taiwanese companies also sell their own line of products, and since these must compete with U.S. "name brand" products, the Taiwan-branded products are often significantly better .

This is great equipment at excellent prices. How else could we offer a 3 year manufacturer's warranty on our systems?!

What do you mean by "open systems"?

Our systems are built with components designed to work across a broad range of hardware and software configurations. Each component typically comes with a set of current drivers for popular operating systems. Driver updates are readily available from the websites of most jmanufacturers.

That's not always the case with U.S. "brand-name" manufacturers, who have the luxury of limiting the components they choose to support.

For instance, a Hewlett Packard Pavilion a305w owner recently wanted to run Windows 2000 instead of XP. Since HP doesn't provide Windows 2000 drivers for the a305w, that owner was stuck with XP.

That a305w also didn't ship with XP re-install CD's, which had to be purchased at additional cost after the owner realized Windows 2000 wouldn't work. It seems the original sales person neglected to mention any of this.

When PC Plus sells you an "open system", it comes with installation and driver CD's. Equally important, it will work with a wide variety of components, so it will be upgradeable for years into the future.

Can I expect support after the sale?

Of course...

Any superstore can sell you a computer system, though your "expert" teenage sales assistant may not be there in a week.

At PC Plus, our strength is working with customers on a longer time frame. We want to help keep your PC running reliably, free of Internet viruses and worms, delivering the service these remarkable machines were designed for.
